GENERAL POLICIES CONCERNING SCHOOL

1. Children can go right to the playground when arriving. Quick good-byes are the best.

2. Children should not come to school any sooner than ten minutes before starting time, which is 8:25.
3. CALL the school, 256-7721, if your child will be absent
4. I MUST KNOW when your child is going home a different way than usual. Please call the school informing me of the change or send a written note. This is for the child's safety. 256-7721
5. My kindergarten students will come in and leave by way of the northeast door. You may pick your child up on the east or north side of the school. Bus students will load on the east side.
6. School bags help the children carry papers and library books home every day. Please make sure they bring them every day and you check them each night.
7. Gym is every Tuesday and Thursday. Dress your child in soft-soled shoes on these days.
8. IMPORTANT items will be sent home in their Tuesday Folder. Please keep track of this folder, as there is a $1.00 charge for a replacement folder.
9. Please work on tying shoes, birthday, addresses and telephone numbers. We will be working on these right away.
10. Be prompt when asked to return or send items to school. (Ex. Book money, supplies, etc.)
11. Watch for the opportunity to order books each month. If you choose to order, you may PAY BY CHECK MAKING IT PAYABLE TO THE BOOK COMPANY.
12. Birthday treats may be sent. We celebrate SUMMER BIRTHDAYS on the child's half birthday.
13. I encourage you to come and visit our classroom. Please make sure to check into the office first before coming to the classroom. We discourage bringing other children with you.
